Show Us Your Books #October

Did another month seriously already go by?  Thanks to my Gilmore Girls binge, I didn't think I would get as many books read this month but I managed just fine. And by managing I mean totally slacking on any household chores, laundry or proper meals. But hey, priorities. Am I right? But alas, a true book worm never gives up. So here it is, my list of WONDERFUL reads that happened in October.  Happy Reading!  Practical Magic: Because Halloween. As magical as the movie and its soundtrack.   Good as Gone: I passed on this one about 1/3 of the way through, for some reason it just didn't grab my attention and my ADHD forced me to moved on to other books that I was looking more forward to.  The Wangs vs. The World: This is fun family trip with the Wangs, who are on the run from financial ruin. Listened to it on Audible and really like the easy-going storytelling and like-able characters.  Today Will Be Different: Any Gilmore G...

Show Us Your Books May Edition

Show Us Your Books is here, get your Goodreads account ready because you'll want to be adding these to your "To Read" list!  May seemed like a crazy month but now, looking back and compared to June, May was a breeze! I managed to read a TON, thanks to the hammock I got as a mother's day present, which has this magical pull it seems to put on me, makes me forget any household chores that need to be done and holds me captive and makes me lay down and read. Summer reading is my favorite- a little sun on my shoulders, the kids are always having fun and I get to just lay back and read. It's the best of all things!  I've put the books I read in May into 2 groups: First, that ones I would very highly recommend and am still thinking about, weeks after finishing them:  I posted my review for Sweetbitter last week, so be sure to check out my...

Weekly Book Round Up

This weekend we spent 2 days at my sister's house and I am in one of those  I need to sleep in my own bed, my kids are crazy hang overs.  But I did manage to browse through some of my magazines to try and  find some books that peeked my interest.  I have found that my goodreads.com "to read" shelve has gained a few pounds since I started this weekly round up! I am going to have to either quit my job or start getting up earilier if I really think I'm ever going to read all these books! (Don't tempt me with a great time!) To be honest, a couple of the books that People featured this week didn't sound interesting at all. Or maybe I was too distracted by all of the romantic gift ideas they had. I'd actually like way more to talk about those than books. I do what what I want, whatever. So check out these ideas that made me swoon: 1) Personalized love letter necklace from RedEnvelope.com Source: gifts.redenvelope.com via Jennife...
